Live - Spettacoli

La musica è la mia passione da quando ero piccola, e fotografare concerti e spettacoli è stata la mia prima passione. Ho fotografato band da pub e band famose, locali microscopici e grossi festival, ed è stata ogni volta un'esperienza meravigliosa.
Oltre ai concerti, ho lavorato anche per spettacoli di danza e spettacoli teatrali: alcune delle foto che vedete nella slideshow sopra sono tratte da uno spettacolo di Danze dell'Anima (vedi la slide completa qui).

Music has been my passion since I was a child, and photographing concerts and shows was my first passion. I have shooted pictures at unknown and famous bands, in small pubs and in great festivals, and each time it was an amazing experience.
Beyond concerts, I have also worked for dance shows and theatrical performances: some of the pictures of the slideshow above belong to a Soul Dance show (there you can see the complete work).

Events - Eventi Pubblici & Privati

Oltre ai matrimoni, mi piace fotografare anche eventi di altro tipo, pubblici o privati che siano. Ovviamente, ad ogni evento a cui lavoro cerco di dare un'impronta diversa e di entrare in empatia con i miei clienti: Per mostrare al meglio questa necessaria partecipazione, nella slide qui sopra potete vedere dei miei scatti fatti a tre eventi completamente diversi tra loro: una festa di laurea, un compleanno a tema Game of Thrones e un evento turistico organizzato dall' Ente Turismo Irlanda in occasione del passaggio per Vicenza del Giro d'Italia 2013, dal momento che l'edizione del 2014 partirà proprio dall'Irlanda.

A part from weddings, I also like shooting pictures at different kind of events, both public or private. Naturally, every event I work at is different, so each time I have to approach in a different way in order to get in connection with my customers. To show this attitude at best I decided to put three completely different events in the slideshow above: a graduation party, a Game-Of-Thrones birthday party and an event organized by the Irish Tourism Bureau for the occasion of the passage through Vicenza of the bycicle race Giro D'Italia 2013, which will start from Ireland in 2014.

Commercial - Lavoro con le Aziende

Uno dei lavori più interessanti che ho fatto dal punto di vista del lavoro con le aziende è il servizio fotografico di reportage industriale per Via Davi,  un'azienda artigianale del Nord-Est Italia che opera nel settore dei "servizi per la moda", ovvero la produzione del prototipo per la conseguente realizzazione dei capi, lavorando con grandi stilisti del calibro di Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli...

Ma questa tipologia di lavoro non è diretta solo ed esclusivamente alle aziende, ma anche a botique e negozi, come si può vedere nella slideshow della sfilata per Coccole di Silvia Morello (vedi sotto).

One of the most interesting works I have done with business companies was the industrial reportage I have shot for Via Davi, a handcraft firm located in the North-East of Italy. Via Davi operates in the branch of the services for fashion, which means the realization of the prototype, before the mass production. They work with great stylists, such as Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli...

But this kind of work is not only directed to big companies, but also to botiques and shops, as you can see in the slideshow below, done for a take off of Coccole per Silvia Morello.

I servizi di matrimonio sono la parte principale del mio lavoro. Mi piace incontrare nuove persone, e lavorare per loro nel giorno più importante della loro vita. Lavoro con molte coppie italiane, ma anche con moltissimi stranieri che decidono di sposarsi nelle nostre città. Che siano matrimoni in grande oppure intimi, in cui viene solo la coppia, cerco sempre di interpretare le persone che mi trovo davanti, capire i loro gusti, i loro desideri e le loro esigenze. Wedding services are the main part of my job. I love meeting new people, and work for them in the most important day of their lives. I work with many Italian couples, but also with many foreigners getting married in our beautiful cities.  Per la prima volta quest'anno ho avuto la possibilità di seguire il boss Mauro Pozzer in un matrimonio all'estero: è stata un'esperienza meravigliosa! Location da paura, coppia fantastica e tanti amici e parenti con cui è stato bellissimo lavorare. Da rifare... Assolutamente! This year I had for the first time the chance to follow the boss Mauro Pozzer in a wedding abroad: it was an amazing experience! Great location, amazing couple and many friends and family which were a pleasure to work with... I can't wait to do that again! Family Portraits

Novità a MP Photography: i ritratti di famiglia! Quelli classici, in posa, statici, non piacciono più; tuttavia, non è così semplice farsi delle belle foto da soli, in casa. Ecco quindi l'idea - perché non fare dei piccoli set fotografici nella casa della famiglia stessa? I bambini si sentono più a loro agio, non essendo "sotto i riflettori", e il risultato è piacevole e spontaneo, oltre ad essere a posteriori un bel ricordo, e nell'immediato, un bel regalo per nonni e parenti! Ritratti di famiglia... Perché no?

News at MP Photography: say welcome to the Family Portraits! The classic, static and posing ones are not interesting any longer; anyway, it is not so easy for the family itself to shoot at each other beautiful pictures. There comes the idea: why can't we  create a small photographic set right in the family's house? Kids feel more comfortable, not being under the spotlight, and the final result is pleasent and spontaneous, a good memory and a good gift for grandparents and relatives! Family portraits... Why not?

In the wonderful location of Ca' Beregana in Vicenza, on Sunday, October 20th, I was the photographer for the presentation party of the new fall/winter collection of Coccole and Coccole & Go., two botiques located in Corso Padova, Vicenza.

Un altro matrimonio a Venezia, ormai la città lagunare è la mia seconda casa! Lì ho incontrato Tara e Michael, coppia canadese, il cui matrimonio è stato organizzato dal team di Distinctive Italy Weddings. Dopo la cerimonia in Comune, in cui si sono sposati senza parenti né amici (non male anticipare al matrimonio la luna di miele!) abbiamo fatto un giro in Gondola e una passeggiata per le zone più tipiche di Venezia, fino a concludere la serata in un ristorantino tipico a Dorsoduro. Ho deciso di dare un tocco jazz-vintage a questo matrimonio... Dateci un occhio ;)

Another wedding in Venice, it seems that the lagoon city is my second home!
There I met Tara and Michael, a canadian couple, whose wedding was organized by the Distinctive Italy Weddings team. After the ceremony in the Townhall, where they got married without friends or families (it's not bad to anticipate the honeymoon in the wedding date!) we had a Gondola ride and a walk in the most typical Venicean venues, ending the service in a typical restaurant in Dorsoduro. I decided to give my slideshow a vintage-jazzy outlook... Check this out ;)

Il Sabato è sempre una buona giornata per i matrimoni, soprattutto quando la location è Venezia! lì ho incontrato questa bellissima coppia che lavora alla Croce Rossa Internazionale, e abita in Svizzera. L'amore di Piero e Nathalie era palpabile; si sono sposati nella loro amata Venezia, con i loro amici più cari e le loro famiglie. La photosession è stata fatta a Burano - non c'ero mai stata prima - e mi sono totalmente innamorata dei suoi colori... buona visione!

Sathurday is always a good day for a wedding, especially if the location is Venice! There I met this beautiful couple working at the International Red Cross, living in Switzerland. Pietro and Nathalie's love was touchable; they got married in their beloved Venice, with their closest friends and family. We had a photoshoot in Burano - I had never been there before - and I completely fell in love with its colours... Enjoy!

Erano anni che l'ultimo giorno di Agosto pioveva... E invece Chiara e Vito sono stati fortunati e hanno trovato un tempo meraviglioso! La cerimonia è stata bellissima, in Comune, celebrata dalla migliore amica di Chiara.. Per lo shooting ho utilizzato per la prima volta il Fisheye, e che figata!

Every last day of August had had a bad weather in the last years... Luckily for Chiara and Vito this year was an exception! The Civil celebration was very beautiful, performed bu Chiara's best friend... For the shooting I used the Fisheye lenses for the first time - way too cool!

Sabato 27 Luglio - una delle giornate più calde dell'estate! Ma l'ho passata benissimo in compagnia di questa fantastica e giovanissima coppia di Vicenza, residente a New York, e al loro tatuatissimo e informale gruppo di amici e parenti! Tra bridesmaids, piscina, una band strepitosa e una location bellissima, 12 ore di servizio sono letteralmente volate! Enjoy!

Sathurday, July 27th - one of the hottest days of this summer! But I spent it wonderfully well, together with this fantastic and young couple from Vicenza, though living in New York, and their super tattooed group of family and friends! Among bridesmaids, a pool, a wonderful band a beautiful location, 12-hour-service really flew away! Enjoy!

Un altro matrimonio da sola a Venezia, questa città incantata tira sempre fuori il meglio di me... La coppia, di origine irlandese, alloggiava al bellissimo Hotel Molino Stucky in Giudecca, e si è sposata in Comune. Un bel giro in gondola, champagne (anche offerto alla fotografa... che ci sta) e un piccolo tour per le calli veneziane.. Una giornata bellissima e soleggiata per una coppia solare e divertentissima!

Another wedding all by myself in Venice, I love how this amazing city brings out the best in me! The couple was lodged in the beautiful Molino Stucky Hotel in the Giudecca, and got married in the townhall. A sweet gondola ride, champagne (offered to the photographer too... Not bad!) and a small tour in the venetian calles.... A beautiful sunny day for a beautiful and sunny couple!

Daiana & Matteo

Super wedding montano questo weekend! Partiti da Verona Venerdì pomeriggio, diretti in Val Gardena, Alto Adige... Ad aspettarci c'era questa bellissima coppia che ha girato il mondo, Daiana e Matteo, assieme a una compagnia di amici e parenti che sfiorava le 150 persone!
Un bellissimo matrimonio, tante persone, location mozzafiato e balli sfrenati fino a notte fonda, e a seguire uno shooting in perfetto stile Sud Tyrol.
Un ringraziamento speciale va al mio amico e collega Giacomo Brizzi che mi ha accompagnato in quest'avventura, così come Claudio Sichel, il videomaker che ha filmato tutti i tre giorni, e last but not least a Mauro Pozzer che ci ha raggiunti la Domenica mattina per le ultime foto...
La musica per la slideshow ha una ragione particolare: il primo appuntamento di Daiana e Matteo è stato proprio ad un suo concerto... Enjoy!

Super mountain-wedding this weekend! We left from Verona on Friday afternoon, up to the Val Gardena, in South Tyrol.. Waiting for us there was this wonderful couple that has travelled the whole world, Daiana and Matteo, together with a great group of nearly 150 friends and relatives!
It was a beautiful wedding, a lot of people, breath-taking locations and rampage dancing until the night, and the morning after a South-Tyrol-Style shooting.
A special thank goes to my friend and collegue Giacomo Brizzi who went along with me in this adventure, to Claudio Sichel, the video-maker who filmed the whole three days, and last but not least to Mauro Pozzer who joined us on Sunday for the last photos...
The soundtrack of the slideshow has a precise reason: Daiana and Matteo's first date took actually place in one of his concerts... Enjoy!

Un matrimonio veramente.. Hot! Se non altro per i 37° a Venezia, come si può ben notare dal povero sposo che in giacca e cravatta stava decisamente soffrendo! Gli sposi erano alloggiati nel bellissimo hotel Villa Franceschi dove hanno anche celebrato il loro matrimonio, e poi via alla volta della soleggiatissima Venezia!

A wedding that I would definately describe as.. Hot! Especially for the 37°C that there were in Venice, and as you can easily notice from the poor groom's outfit, he was really suffering! The couple was staying at the wonderful hotel Villa Franceschi, where they also celebrated their marriage, and then we moved all together to the super sunny Venice! Enjoy!

Wow, che emozione! Venerdì è stato il mio primo matrimonio completamente da sola... Inutile dire che ho passato la notte prima completamente in bianco! Ma è andata, la giornata era meravigliosa, e anche se la coppia era molto a proprio agio nel farsi fare foto è andata alla grande...
Ho capito che, in effetti, passare da seconda fotografa a UNICA fotografa è tutto un altro mondo!

Wow, it has been so exciting! Yesterday I have shot the very first wedding completely by myself... Useless to say that I passed the whole night before completely awake! But it has worked, the day was beautiful, and even though  the couple was not very comfortable in being photographed the service was fine...
I actually understood that moving from being the second photographer to the ONLY photographer is completely different!

Un bellissimo matrimonio quello di Sabato, finalmente l'estate sembra essere vicina... Bellissimi anche gli sposi, italiani che ora vivono a Miami, sembrano una coppia d'altri tempi, lei con il velo in pizzo e lui in tuba e bastone...
Il ricevimento, poi, nella meravigliosa location di Villa Valmarana ai Nani di Vicenza, con lo sfondo della città... Enjoy!

What a nice wedding we had on Sathurday, at the end summer seems to be coming! And also the couple was so nice, two italian guys now living in Miami. They look like an other-times couple, she was wearing a lace veil and he had a tuba hat and a cane...
The reception, then, was in the amazing Villa Valmarana ai Nani in Vicenza, with the beautiful sight of the city.. Enjoy!

We can be Heroes

Visto che non sono qui solo per parlare di matrimoni, oggi posterò una canzone a cui ho pensato appena sveglia... Fare la fotografa, così come fare moltissimi altri lavori al giorno d'oggi, non è facile... La crisi, la paura, l'ansia di non farcela, l'essere sotto pressione... Capita a tutti di pensarci. Però alla fine, l'unica cosa da fare per andare avanti è stringere i denti... Ed essere "eroi" per un giorno...

Since I'm not here to talk about weddings only, today I will post a song that I thought about as soon as I woke up today. Being a photographer, as well as doing so many other jobs nowadays, is not easy... Everyone talks about the economic collapse, everyone is scared, everyone is under pressure... Everyone thinks about those things, sooner or later. But at the end, the only thing we can do is holding on. And being "heroes, just for one day"....

Leslie e Joshua.. Questo servizio significa moltissimo per me, perché è stato il primo che ha visto me come unica fotografa e Mauro come video maker... Vi lascio immaginare l'emozione!

Questi due ragazzi si sono sposati a Verona con rito Protestante, portandosi il Pastore direttamente dagli Stati Uniti... Lei Americana di Denver, Colorado, lui Australiano...

Sono venuti in Italia con le rispettive famiglie, e la giornata è stata meravigliosa, come meritavano. E anche se il papà della sposa non c'era quel giorno, sono sicura che stesse guardando la sua bellissima figlia dal cielo...

Leslie and Joshua. This work means a lot to me, because it has been the first wedding I have shooted as the only photographer, while Mauro worked as a video maker.. You can imagine how excited I was!

These two guys got married in Verona with the Protestant rite, and they brought the Minister with them from the United States. She is an American girl from Denver, Colorado, while he is Australian.

They went in Italy with their families, and their wedding day was amazing, as they deserved. And even though the bride's dad wasn't there that day, I'm sure he was looking at his beautiful daughter from heaven..

Previous Weddings - Sinead & Timothy

Matrimonio Irlandese a Venezia. Una coppia carinissima, un sacco di invitati direttamente dall'Irlanda, un freddo abbastanza fastidiosetto per essere Aprile ("Mi sembra di essere a casa" - parole dello sposo), discorso da tenere a cena scritto su sottobicchieri di Guinness, tre meravigliose damigelle della sposa e due mini flower girls... Insomma, un'esperienza!
Ecco forse il fatto che il prete abbia chiamato due-tre volte la sposa "Skinhead" non è stato proprio lusinghiero! Per questa slide ho scelto In these Arms dei miei amati Bon Jovi... Buona visione!

Irish wedding in Venice. Such a cute couple, a lot of guests - directly from Ireland, an annoying, cold weather, considering it was April ("Just feels like home" - Timothy said), the groom's speech written behind some Guinness coasters, three lovely bride's maids and two little, sweet flower girls... In other words, what a day!
Well... Maybe the fact that the priest called two or three times the bride "Skinhead" was not really gratifying!

Previous Weddings - Lorraine & Jason

28 Febbraio... Una giornata davvero fredda, non si direbbe vedendo il vestito della sposa (fortunatamente la pelle d'oca in foto non si vede!). Jason e Lorraine, coppia Statunitense venuta a sposarsi nella nostra perla dell'Adriatico, la città decadente per eccellenza, la mia amata Venezia...
E come nella canzone, anche noi abbiamo accolto questi due ragazzi, che hanno celebrato il matrimonio da soli, "a braccia aperte"... Buona visione!

Travel Reportage - From Paris with Love

Come si capisce dal titolo, nel mio blog non parlerò solo di fotografia di matrimonio, ma di fotografia a 360°, e perché no, anche un po' di me.
Dopo la mia Laurea, ho organizzato uno splendido viaggio con il mio ragazzo a Parigi... Dopo quegli indimenticabili giorni ho deciso di fare una slideshow con il mio sguardo sulla meravigliosa capitale francese, per poter rivivere quei momenti e farli vivere anche ai miei amici e a tutti coloro che la guarderanno.
E devo ammettere che la riguardo spesso e volentieri...

As you can understand from its title, in this blog I will not only talk about wedding photography, but about photography as a whole and - why not - also a little about myself.
After I graduated, I organized a wonderful holiday with my boyfriend in Paris... After those unforgettable days I decided to prepare a slideshow with my eye on the amazing French capital, in order to revive those moments and to allow my friends and all the ones who will watch it to live them, too.
And - I must admit - I watch it over and over again...

Chiara e Matteo.. Che coppia ragazzi! Due persone meravigliose e simpaticissime, di quelle che li guardi e vedi da lontano quanto si amino. Il loro è stato il primo matrimonio di Italiani a cui abbia lavorato.
Una giornata intera, intensa e per me indimenticabile!

Chiara e Matteo... Wow, what a couple guys! Two amazing and so funny people, that kind of couple that you just can see from a long distance how enormous their love is. This has been my first Italian wedding.

Questa è stata la prima slide che ho realizzato e pubblicato su Vimeo, anche se non è stato il mio primo matrimonio... Visto che la mia altra grande passione è la musica, cerco di abbinare al meglio foto, post-produzione e canzone utilizzata. Ed ecco che per quest'adorabile e timida coppia di Hong Kong, venutasi a sposare proprio in provincia di Vicenza, a Marostica, dopo aver visto un nostro matrimonio realizzato nella stessa location, nessuna canzone poteva essere più azzeccata (sia per me che per loro) della splendida Absolute Beginners di David Bowie...

This was the first slideshow I've ever done and published on Vimeo, though it has not been my first wedding... Since my other big passion is music, I always try to match photos, post-production and sondtrack at the best.
And that's the reason why I chose this song for this adorable, shy Hong Kong couple that chose Marostica, Vicenza for their wedding after having seen a wedding we shooted in the same location. No song could have been better, both for me and for them, than the amazing Absolute Beginners by David Bowie...

Da Ottobre lavoro full time come fotografa e post-producer dello studio, ma la passione della fotografia risale a qualche anno fa.
